Catalyst Community Developments Society is now taking applications for the rental homes at Headwaters North (366 Peterson Drive- Building A) and Headwaters South (363 Peterson Drive - Building B). Headwaters North tenants moved in beginning in April, 2024 and tenant move ins at Headwaters South began October 1, 2024.

Applications for Headwaters must be submitted by email with PDF attachments to rentheadwaters@catalystcommdev.org. If you are applying for a Deep Subsidy or Rent-Geared-to Income (RGI) unit you must also apply to the BC Housing Registry at https://housingapplication.bchousing.org/olf/faces/welcome.

The originally Price Restricted Resident Restricted Homeownership project on Petersons have been changed into Essential Worker Rental project as the interest rates and lack of qualified buyers.
The Peterson Multiplex project, 2 Fourplexes with 8 units, are currently doing its first Phase construction for BC Hydro LPT pad for electricity by Mallory Constructing Ltd. from Tofino. 2nd Phase construction pending on mortgage and funding.

As Creekside Residence at 700 Sharp Rd (down the road from the Dolphin Motel) has been constructed and fully occupied, the THC has released an overview publication: why THC exists, who is eligible for THC-facilitated housing and how THC is funded.
The Tofino Housing Corporation has released its 2021-2023 Strategic Plan. The plan outlines a renewed vision, mission, four focus areas and the strategic priorities for the next three years. THC has a vision of A safe, secure and affordable place to live is available to all people who call Tofino home with a mission to facilitate development and operation of below market housing in Tofino. The Plan is the Corporation's guide to take it through this first phase of development at DL 114 and Sharp Rd and the actions required to set the stage for meeting its 2030 development target. Currently, a new Strategic Plan is underway to envision housing at the community and to execute Tofino Housing Corporation's mandate by providing affordable housing for members of Tofino.
